This is something to do with Headers, however I can't find out what exactly.
And It's quite annoying, as I can't upload my site on to the web!

Give us a hand someone, anyone!

Have you contact your web host regarding this error?

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

What an odd thing to say! why would a FrontPage error have anything to do
with my webhost?
You also questioned Sandy S on 9/29/2005 12:55 PM PST. She had excatly the
same error! I will question my webhost, but I feel somewhat that your passing
the buck!

Because errors in the 500 series "normally" indicate a permissions issue
with the server.

Does the error happen when you launch or work with FP locally or only when you attempt to publish to
the live/remote server?

If only when you attempt to publish from your local to the live/remote, I would say the first place
to look is at web host...

Can you open the live/remote site directly in FP, and then publish to a location on your HD?

Also you can always call MS Product Support for help!

Then be more specific. When do you get this error? What are you doing when
you get this error?

Fair enough perhaps I was abrupt!
But I have been dealing abrupt MS software all my life, and its starting to
rub off!

But how can one be more specific when a message box appears "553" click ok!
that's it, no error message written in the window box nada.
So I look up the error message and MS help comes up with 'headers, 533'
that's it. So I think that it must be me that's being difficult.
And I goto my freshly designed website and I put back the shared header on
it, because my index.html has it removed for asthetics. And still I get this
annoying message.

are we ganging up on little old me!

If you're running Windows 2000 or XP, go into Computer Management > system
Tools > Event Viewer and see if the error is logged and if so, if it gives
more information.

Nope nothing!
I tried uploading again, and still 553, but it didn't log any reports.

Thanks for trying anyway!

The error will be in your online Host's server logs
- contact them

If it happens when uploading it is definitely a problem on the server.
You will have to consult your host, who should be able to delve into
the server logs to find information.

If you are using FTP with BTOpenworld/BTinternet/BT-Yahoo, the error
is normally associated with a file or folder name containing spaces or
other illegal (for web sites) characters.

C'mon, James. Stop giving everyone a hard time. These are good guys, and
they just might know what they are talking about. If you get the error when
you are uploading, then it is probably a server issue.
