HI As I'm trying publish a web to an ftp site the publish box is
showing me that certain files are listed as conflict. I don't
understand what that means, other than it obviously won't work like
that.
Any help appreciated.

Conflict just means that there could be something to watch out for. It could
mean that the file on the server has a newer date/timestamp than the file
you are uploading. In this case it would show a conflict because you
probably wouldn't want to overwrite a file that is newer with an older one.
Sometimes FP may also warn you when you're attempting to publish certain
files, such as ASP script files, and it can't determine if those files are
usable on the server because it is FTPing the files so it doesn't know
exactly what the web server's capabilities are.

Thanks Mark, much appreciated. Someone once told me that threr was
aknown problem with the way that frontpage dealt with the index file
when it was uploaded, something about the name of the index file,
however I can't remember what it was they said was the problem.
