Frontpage authorization forms

I am designing a financial website using Frontpage 2000. However I don't know
how to create a form for a client to log-on and find out about their account
details. I want the rest of the site to be available to others to browse. Is
it better to use a different software altogether. Does this kind of form need
to be linked to a data base?
 
Yes, it does need to be linked to at least one database -- the one containing
their account details and possible another containing all the usernames and
passwords.

If your financial system is a commercial product, you should browse the
vendor's Web site and see if they have a "client Web access" (or whatever)
feature for sale. Otherwise, you would almost certainly have to custom
program this in something like ASP.NET or ASP.
