Hi,
I am running a Dell PC with Windows Vista. I have Office Enterprise 2007,
but am still using FrontPage 2003. It's been fine for a couple years, but
now it won't start. I receive the error message:
Microsoft Office FrontPage is not installed properly on this system and
cannot function. Please reinstall Microsoft Office FrontPage.
Click OK to exit.
Then when I click OK, I get the message:
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application’s support team for more information.
There has been one significant change since the last successful run of
FrontPage 2003 a few weeks ago. That is, I upgraded from Windows Vista Home
Premium to Windows Vista Ultimate. The upgrade was a disaster, ultimately
requiring several hours of phone calls and e-mails with Windows support over
the course of four days.
I have tried to uninstall, repair, etc. both from the CD and from COntrol
Panel, but the setup program stops with the message:
The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the
source exists and that you can access it.
This is in spite of the fact that the CD is in the PC and I get the same
message even if I'm running the setup from the CD.
So I'm stuck. The program won't run, can't be repaired, and won't
uninstall. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan Nelson
