I have been using FrontPage 2003 on Windows XP for a number of years, I have
a new computer running Vista-64bit. If I go to the website I am trying to
edit and go to File - Edit with Microsoft Office Front Page, nothing happens.
It does the same thing if I use IE8-32bit or IE8-64bit. If I use Expression
3 as my editor and change the default editor to that, the site opens fine,
except that I can't keep the FrontPage unique portions running.

Have you tried opening the web site in FrontPage *without* using Internet
Explorer?
Open FrontPage, then File->Open Site
What happens if you do? Any error messages?

Not sure what you mean by:
" If I use Expression
3 as my editor and change the default editor to that, the site opens fine,
except that I can't keep the FrontPage unique portions running."

Expression Web 3 will support everything that FrontPage 2003 supports with
the exception of:
VML graphics - no support whatever
Navigation: Existing FP navigation is supported, but cannot be added to. No
navigation view.

If VML is used, then users with non-IE browsers may have problems with your
site anyway.

Or are you opening the website using FTP with Expression Web? In this case
the extensions may be broken and this will explain why FrontPage cannot open
the site - and why FP webbots fail.
