Hello Microsoft,

I just installed Frontpage 2003 120-day trial edition. It's interface
is pretty but I'm get annoying >> (downward angle brackets) at the
bottom of each menu that expand after waiting a while.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn this off. It's such
a dreadful feature that this should be easy as pie. I'm kind of
annoyed that I've wasted so much time on Frontpage already and haven't
even done any web development yet.

Please tell how to permanently turn of these short/long menus. I want
them long. If there's no way to do this, then unfortunately, I'll
un-install the trial.

Thank you,

No email please!

Hey Joe - quit whining! You sound like someone who
complains a lot. The feature is excellent, but you should
try reading a little about how to use the software. Not
everthing can be perfectly intuitive! Read man...Read!

Joe,

Right-Click on the Menu Bar and choose Customize. On the Options tab check the "Always show full menus" option.

To all who offered helpful advice, thank you. I had no idea that
there were two options screens.

To Microsoft, I still say this menu feature sucks. You're putting a
feature meant for beginning Windows users into a tool meant for
professional developers. Why not Clippy? But then, I suppose I'm
lucky you didn't bring back Microsoft Bob.

Joe,

Microsoft designed the feature so that you can turn it off if you don't like
it. Some people like it, and some don't. If you like it, use it. If you
don't, turn it off. :)
