I am trying to connect to my remote website to upload new files. When I try
to open the site, my user name changes so that it is prefixed by part of my
website address plus \ . Consequently I'm unable to access the remote site.
I'm using FrontPage 2003 with FrontPage Server Extensions. How can I solve
this user name change?

I have already done that. I was referred to the local (New Zealand) product
support line who in turn referred me to this site.

How do you have your local computer and the local copy of your web site named?

My computer is named oem-d2c300cf0d8. The local copy of my web site is named
My Website.

Ok, have you been able in the past to log into the remote web site via FP? If yes, what Windows
Updates have you recently installed?

I assume you mean the 'Recalculate hyperlinks' button in the Tools menu. I
tried this. Should there have been any report as a result? When I tried again
to connect to the remote website I still had the same problem. I'm wondering
whether I may need to re-install FrontPage. I assume this would not risk
losing web pages I have constructed but not yet uploaded to the remote site,
as these are located separately on my hard drive.
