Hi! I'm new to this. I used the Form Wizard to create a test form and see
what happens when I "submit" the form. I get an error that says the FP
Server extensions are not enabled. I called the host and they installed it
last week. What am I doing wrong. All I want is a simple "contact form"
with the appropriate contact information saved.

Thanks for anyone's help!!!

You must be uploading the forms using FP http Publish
- not FTP or any other method (which corrupt the FP SE)

I have been using an FTP program to publish my web page.
Do I have to use FP Publish? If so, how do I do that? I put in my
destination and FP gives me all these possible errors in a gray text box.
Please help...

Open the site in FrontPage and choose File, Publish Web and put in the URL
of your site (ex: http://www.xyz.com)

I did that and it still says unable to do so. What am I doing wrong? My
host (he.net) says that they installed the Server Extensions....I need this
basic form (collect name info) to work and it is driving me crazy.

What's the exact error message? You may need to contact your web host if
you can open the site in FrontPage. By using FTP you might have corrupted
the FrontPage Extensions and they'll need to repair them.

Using FTP may have corrupted the extensions. Ask your host to repair or
reinstall the extensions, then use HTTP publish from FrontPage (as
described in previous posts) and NEVER use FTP to upload to this site
again.

I will ask the host to reinstall the FP extensions. But I am still confused...

Are you saying that if I am in FP and I "publish" and then put my site
"http://www.xxxxxxxxx.com" then it will work?

Why would FTP mess it up?

Thanks everyone for helping me get through this....I am on the verge of
giving up!!!

When you use FTP to upload, meta data may be uploaded with the files and
folders. This meta data is specific to the web being uploaded - the web
you are uploading to needs a different version of this data - this is
what corrupts the extensions.

When you HTTP publish, the meta data on the server is updated (NOT
copied from your PC). Also, the code for forms, hit-counters and other
webbotts that require the extensions is changed on pages as they are
published. The changes are specific to the server being uploaded to.

If you upload a form (that requires the extensions) using FTP, you will
find that hitting the submit button in the form results in an error
message implying the server does not have extensions installed. This
does not happen when using HTTP publishing.

I called Earthlink.net and they reloaded the server extensions.
I can now use HTTP to publish my web.
Thanks everyone for all your help!
