Has anyone experienced problems publishing webs after
installing Windows 2000 service pack 4? (Client side)?

If it is a new PC, it's a new FP install and FP knows nothing about the web

First thing for the use to do is open their online / server web in FP on the new machine and use File Publish (ALL is required 1st
time) to their local server or PC

Then they need to use File Publish (changes only) back to the server
(not the Publish button - which has not idea where to publish)

If they are only working on the server based web then they do not need to publish

PS - if they continue to use multiple PC's they should Publish Changes to each PC before they start work or they will overwrite
changes made from the other PC

| Here is the error message..
|
| "An error occured while accessing your FrontPage web
| files. Authors - if authoring against a web server please
| contact the webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters -
| Please see the server's system log for more details."
|
| There is nothing in the server's logs. The user was able
| to publish last week - the only difference is he has a new
| PC with W2K SP4. If he log into a W2K SP3 PC, he can
| publish with out any problem. I shouls also point out
| that this error occurs when he tries to make changes to
| Office documents form within the web.
|
| Thanks
