I am building a website with alot of artwork that I want
to protect so that it is unable to be downloaded or
printed freely..What can i do to secure my pictures
online? thanks for any help

Don't publish them to the web. Anything you try to do to prevent someone
from copying them can be circumvented. Whenever anyone looks at your images
online, they've been downloaded to that computer as a temp file. No way
around that.

If you put some sort of a watermark on them it will atleast show up if/when
they are used.

Sorry - I know that's not the answer you wanted but it's the way it is.

What can the music companies do to prevent people from copying their music?
That's what you can do. IOW, you can't prevent people from copying your
images. Anyone that tells you otherwise is sadly misinformed.

Hi Melissa,

You may want to put up smaller thumbnails and/or photos with less pixels
which will not print well. Good luck with your Art.
