FrontPage 1997 or 2000

I am looking for an older version of FrontPage that will work with Windows
ME. I understand 1997 and 2000 will work and that 1997 is the simplest to
use. Does anyone out there know where I could find this product? I have a
search going on ebay.I'm looking for other suggestions, or a direct contact
from someone who has it for sale.

FrontPage 2000 and 2002 will work with Windows ME without problems.
Earlier versions may present problems since they require web servers
to run, and Windows ME does not support a web server.
As far as "simple to use" is concerned, in my opinion FP2000 is by far
the simplest version of FrontPage.
 
FP 2002 will work with Win98 upwards.
Fp97 is getting a bit to old....and not many (if any) servers would support
the server extensions for FP97.

FP all versions are equally easy to use. If fact FP97 is harder to
understand and use than fp 2000/02/03.

If you try 98 or 97, you will be really really sorry you did.

Do 2000 or later.
 
A question or two before I download.: It doesn't say what year this FrontPage
is. How can I tell? Does it matter? Thanks for the link.
 
I'ts a very stripped down version of FP 97 text editor. Very quirky, very
bad, very low on features, very poor security. I, and many others, don't
recommend it.

Okay, that doesn't sound like it is something I want, so what is a good place
to buy FP 2000?
 
Not that I can part with. Anything newer I have is part of the Action Pack
program and cannot be sold or transferred. Sorry I cannot help you out with
that.
