Frontends on shared drive

When giving each user their own copy of the frontend mde (Access97), does it
make a difference if the copies are on a shared drive vs. their c drive? It
would be easier to maintain them on a shared drive since there are occasional
updates. But if it causes the database to run slower, then I'll help them
configure their copy on their c drive. It is secure, they need to log on to
the database using a shortcut.

It makes a big difference when it comes to the likelihood of corruption and
in speed. "Their own copy of the frontend" means an individual copy on the
user's hard drive. They shouldn't share this file.
