When a page banner is dimmed. What can I do to undim it so that I can type
text in the page banner

If using the Insert Banner, then the text is added to the banner based on your page title in shown
in Navigation View.

This problem occurs after I have typed text in the page banner. I format a
theme, then followed by insert page banner, then I type my text. Then we I go
back to change the text then the page banner is dimmed out. It will not allow
me to change text. Why?

When you apply a Theme, the Theme then controls your Page Banner and then the Page Banner text is
controlled by FP Navigation (Navigation View)
