front page slows down after grahic insert

The mouse slows down, or completely stops working after I insert an image
into a table on a page. The whole program seems to lock up. As soon as I
delete the image the mouse moves fine and the program responds normally.

How large is the image? It may just be too large. Try reducing the size

Afternoon, and thank you for the responses. The image is only 24kb. It
seems the problem even occurs when I inserted a table.
I use tables to help me layout the pages. (somewhat on the newer side to
webstuff)
