All of the sudden when ever I try to create a new web
locally from my hard drive, I get the error message:

"Server sent response which Front Page cannot parse while
trying to connect to Front Page server. Check server's
administrator to see that Front Page Extensions are
installed properly."

I can publish all of the sites I already created, but
cannot create new sites. I uninstalled the program and re-
installed it. This just started happening out of the
blue. No Luck. Please someone help. Thanks.

Try creating a folder under your root web, then right click and convert to a
web from within FP (FP2000 and up)

If running Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Pro or Windows 98 w/PWS or Windows
NT Wrkst. you can only have a single rootweb, however you can many subwebs.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am still having a problem
with the "Parse" issue. Creating a folder under my root
web would be where? I am using Windows 2000 Pro Server. I
tried to go to c:/inetpub/wwwroot/myweb. The message was
that I cannot create in that directory. Do you know what
I am doing wrong, and why didn't a reinstall solve the
issue. Thank you very much for your time.

You need to have the root web open in FP via http://localhost, not the
physical disk location of c:\inetpub\wwwroot\..

http://localhost will place you in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ where you can create
another subweb on the same level as myweb (http://localhost/myweb/)
