In PowerPoint, choose Save As Web Page from the Tools
menu, then specify a location in your FrontPage-based Web.

You can disable the "Thicket" function somewhere in Windows XP, problem is I
did this when I first installed Windows XP when if first came out and now I
don't remember where the option was. You might trying posting to the Windows
newsgroup.

But this method also creates one of those
annoying "Thicket" folders.

Newer versions of PowerPoint have an option to save presentations in
"Single File Web Page (*.mht)" format. This avoids "Thicket" folders
at the expense of some browser compatability.
The page is not really a true HTML page, but still
associated with Powerpoint, as I understand it?

Well, if you save in .htm format, yes, you truly get real Web pages.
But I agree they're not the sort of pages any sane Web designer would
crete by hand, or want to work with.

Despite many years of effort, publishing the same content in multiple
formats or media is still a major challenge.

I really do not have that option available any more under Home SP1.
