Front Page 2003 Inserts Blank Lines

I use java applets to create special menu bar effects.
When editing pages in FP2003 there are thousands of blank
lines inserted into the document. It appears that each
time I do a cut and paste these blank lines are replicated.

Any help?

View Code view, delete the extra lines and copy/paste from there to other pages in Code view
(so you know what you are "grabbing")
Or select the html block (applet would be an object tag) in the Quick tag to copy / paste

PS - JAVA is being depreciated so I hope you know many users will not be able to see your menus
