I have owned 2000 Professional for 2 years. I have
installed the service packs as they became available
(currently on SP-4). I've also installed the service
packs (1 and 2)for my Office 2002 (XP).

Last night I installed FPage 2002 for the first time. I
was able to use the Wizard to create a shell of a web
site. When I later opened one of the files to view what
was created, the page came up, but within a few seconds, I
got:
"Microsoft FrontPage has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I've restarted the machine, etc. but still get the same
thing.

Fishing in the dark, but is the problem perhaps because
the Office suite is on SP-2, but FP has no service pack?
Do I have to reinstall the service packs to bring FP up to
SP-2? If I do, will my office suite choke due to
installing over existing service packs?

Other ideas???

Thanks

Rick

Have you installed the latest update listed here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp

It sounds as if that may be the problem.
