Hello,

I have Access 2002 patient database in hospital networked environment.
Using a 27 front-ends and of course, one back-end.
Is there a way to allow the user via the program interface to change where
the front-end looks for the back-end?

My intention is to hook this up in a neighboring hospital. I will then want
to make these db's mde's instead of mdb's. Once that is done, if the
location of the back-end changes, the networked environment collaspes.
All I would have to do is provide them (the buyer) a way to set the path for
this new location.

I feel I need the MDE so that no one can hack/jack/smack the code.

Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

I checked out this site and plugged it in. There is a "note"...
Note: You must include that code in your application for this example to
work.

Just copying the code into the forms onopen causes an error.
