My wife now wishes to use my email account. I want her to
use her name in the "From" box. I will use my own name.
How do i get the "From" box open so that she may type her
name in it please?

Fred, go to Tools, Accounts, and click on the email
account your are using, then click on Properties. Change
the user name field to reflect her name. When an email is
sent from that account, her name will appear in the from
field.

You will have to go through this process every time you
switch users. The only other option is to create a new
account in outlook with the same email, etc.

Go to Tools, Accounts, and click on your email account.
Click on Properties and print out the screens for each
tab. Once you do this, then click on the Add button, then
select Mail. This will allow you to create a new account
(another record). Follow the screens to create the new
account, using the same information from the screens you
printed out. Everything will be identical except on the
very first page where you enter her name in the Display
Name field.

After you do this, when you to go Tools, Accounts, you
will see two accounts with the same name except that one
of them will have a number after it and the other won't.

Now, when she is using the computer, she will need to go
to Tools, Accounts, and select her account before she
sends emails so that they appear to have come from her.
When you use it, you will need to do the same thing
selecting the one that has your name. This is easier
than having to go edit the properties every time to change
the name.

Good luck.

Fred,

Forgot to tell you, you cannot change the From field. It
is defaulting from the Tools, Account that is set as the
default.
