From Win98SE to Win 2000 - help please

Win98SE at present.

Reason to u/g is the software I wish to use soon req's Win
2000.minimum etc.

I do not wish to go the WinXP route until more drivers etc. are
readily available.

Unsure if Win ME would still be OK (what difference between Win 2000?)

I have Win 2000 SR2,(not installed though), but would it require SR1
to install first.?

ME is closer to 98 than to 2000 internally. Go with 2000 or XP

No, but I think you should install SP3 ( a few people will advise
against it, but I haven't had any problems with it on 4 servers and
about 100 workstatiions).
