I'm running XP Home and recently upgraded to Service Pack
1. I was told it would eliminate glitches with my ATI All
in Wonder video card. It seems to have helped in that
area however my computer has SLOWED TO A CRAWL. Does
anyone have ideas how I can get my speed back?

I am having a similar problem. When you try to open a
folder in explorer, does it take 5 to 10 seconds to open
that folder?

SOLUTION:

Guess what? Installing SP-1 crashes 20 percent of the
computers it is installed on. That means only 80% benefit
from installing it. Since it is not removable, you will
have to reload the WinXP all over again from scratch.
WinXP News.com warned about this problem and explains it
very well. So does Screen Savers on techtv.com. You
should of never installed XP in the first place, because
of the flaw of sharing IRQ's, I/O Ports, and Physical
Memory Addresses. You can not change the resources in
WinXP, but you can in Win98SE!
