Hi You All !
My configuration is currently as follows:
One server SRVNT running Windows NT 4.0 SP6a as a PDC (Primary Domain
Controller) of the MYNTDOMAIN, with 30 user accounts and the like set up.
Another brand new server SRVWIN2K, with Windows 2000 Server SP4 installed. I
want this server to become the DC of a new domain named MYNEWDOMAIN.
For some reasons, I don't want to keep the old NT domain named MYNTDOMAIN.
However, the thing is that in the process of setting up the new domain
MYNEWDOMAIN (the dcpromo stuff, etc.), I want to avoid, if possible, two
tasks:
1. To re-create all the user accounts already set up on the old server
SRVNT;
2. To make the client computers (XP, Win2K Pro, Win NT Workstation machines)
quit the old MYNTDOMAIN domain and then join the new domain MYNEWDOMAIN
domain;
Is there a smart way to achieve that, maybe with the Win2K Ressource Kit
Tools?
Help greatly appreciated.
Nicolas
