We're using OL2000 SR-1 in the Internet Mail Only (IMO)
installation. I've been using Outlook for years starting
with the first - OL97. OL97 allowed you to easily add
the 'FROM' field in order to change who it was being sent
from. But it seemed to have disappeared with OL98.
Currently, we are in great need of the FROM field. With
several of our e-mail accounts we have aliases that we
would like to send from. I'd rather not set up a mimick
account[1] or create a form.
I've noticed people keep saying to go View->From Field
using the toolbar for the new message. However, like many
said before, the From Field isn't a choice there - it's
not listed. I've even tried adding a second account just
to see if more than one account had to be present. But it
doesn't come up.
I need the answer to be as simple as possible since people
who are not computer savy, programmers, or form designers
will be doing whatever it is.
So...how can I get the FROM field to appear again so that
we can enter our alias'd address??
Is this something MS did to cut down on people forging
bad/unauthorized addresses???? If so, shame on them.
That's not how it should be done.

[1] By mimick account, I mean setting up an identical
account in OL but having the e-mail address set to the
alias instead of what it actually is.
P.S. I noticed there was some kind of trick in OL98, but
it's not one that I can replicate easily as I don't
exactly know what it is that I did.
