Friendy Names

Hi All

I am having trouble changing the friendly name under...

HKLM\SYSTEM\CONTROLSET001\Enum\ACPI\PNP0501\1

It always comes up with an error saying it cannot edit the "FriendlyName"

I would like to change it from "Communications Port (COMn)" to some other
COM value.

Open the Key in REGEDT32 and check Security -> Permissions
You have to add the permissions to change.

Anyone know where the permissions for...

HKLM\SYSTEM\CONTROLSET001\Enum\ACPI\PNP0501\1

are stored? I would like to be able to set them in a setup utility I am
writing.
