Hello everyone
I had to do a Fresh reinstall due to Virus'es and such. Afte
deleting the existing Partition the reinstall went along rather well.
I had a XP 2 CD that I also installed after a reboot and all seem
fine, Now the question, of course, Microsoft has a dozen other upgrade
it would like me to install also.
I seem to remember there were some "upgrades" that you were bette
off NOT installing, if so what were they and why?
Also, I would love to keep track of my registry to try to keep i
from getting to far out of hand (tho I realize different program
will/might change it some)
Is there a way to take a "picture" of it, this way perhaps I can do
little restoring myself?
I guess, basically I am asking for a basic maintenance routine t
keep track of things. I am already finding programs on the computer
did not ask for or purposely download (tho there are 5 people usin
this machine and I do not knnow if they did, but I doubt it) IE
Norton computer check downloaded itself with no request from me (
deleted it)
I am running McCafee products (including the firewall, I don't lik
how the computer seems to always be connected to the internet). Thi
is a lot to ask, any help would be appreciated
Thanks to all
Bob
