Steve

We recently purchased a new server and 3 new
workstations. The server is running 2000 server and the
workstations are running xp pro. These machines
frequently drop the internet and the repair feature on the
network connection must be used. Our older machines
running 98 and Me don't seem to have any problems. Is
this some sort of configuration problem or is it just the
reason Microsoft made the repair feature so handy?

Perhaps the XP computers are turning off the network adapters to save
power. To find that setting, right click the network connection and
click Properties | Configure | Power Management.
