Frequent loss of network connectivity

I have a computer that at least once-a-week appears to drop it's IP address. When this happens I run ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew and the computer is back up and running on the network again. I have replaced the network card, changed ports on the switch, and toned out the cable back to the patch panel

It was before my time but my understanding is that the computer was working fine before it and it's user were relocated to another building. Others users in the same building are not reporting problems but then she is the only user running Win2k

Any ideas

Thanks
David

Where's the DHCP server located? When the computer "appears" to drop its IP
address, have you run ipconfig /all to see what the current IP address is?
Anything in the event logs?
