frequent explorer shut down error msgs

I receive frequent shut down error msgs when I use IE,
does any one have any idea what could be causing this
scenario? It keeps me from being able to browse on a
consistent basis.

I have had same problem. Two things I have found that
help. One - download Ad-aware6 from the lavasoftusa.com
website. It is a spyware package that works like a virus
scan to clear out spyware from your system. Many times,
spyware creates system resource conflicts causing IE to
freeze or shutdown. Two - go to the Windows menu (in
WIN98 simply tap the f8 key while computer is starting)
select command prompt. type in scanreg /fix This will
rebuild your registry and fix any errors.
