We have an app that will be deployed on Windows XP
Professional using the MUI for French, German, Italian,
Spanish, and Portuguese. We are testing all the above
configurations and noticed with French in particluar (it
may hold true with others) that the main Windows Login
screen does not detect / use the French keyboard layour
(non QWERTY). Is this a bug or perhaps a configuration
issue? Please let me know.

Mike ... you may have already done this, but have you added the French
keyboard option?

Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Languages tab, Details button,
Settings tab, Add button, Input language: French. You can then change the
key sequence or show the language bar on the desktop or taskbar.

If you've done this and your question deals just with the logon screen, I
suspect it's because, until you've reached the desktop, windows does not
know which keyboard you're going to be working with and uses the default OS
language. I don't have a French keyboard to work with so it's just a guess.
Perhaps others might have a suggestion.
