freezing up in my pictures

My name is Blanche Connelly
Computer info
Gateway 2000
Windows xp
Model 500 s plus

Problem: My computer freezes up when I try to get out of
my pictures.
I can close the picture folder but I
can't close my pictures.
I have burned it all to a disc and the
same thing happens on the disc.
Your help would greatly appriecated.

Look into an updated video (graphics) driver. Gateway will scan your computer for
updates, however I have found it is easier to use the manufacturer's downloads
especially video drivers. Usually they are executables and will install on their own
while Gateway only supplies the driver.
