Freezing up!! Help Please !

Can anyone shed some light on this problem?
I had the blaster worm and removed it using the symatic
download etc.
but ever since the worm hit my PC freezes up, sometimes on
boot up, sometimes I get booted up but about 5 mins after
windows (xp) loads it freezes again.
Can anyone help? I dont get any error messages, but a pc
that hangs!

Reinstall Wijndows XP, activate the ICF(Internet
Connection Firewall) and then download all the patchs
from Windows Update starting with the blaster worm fix.
