Be sure your PC has at least 256 MB of good non-faulty
RAM memory installed. If not, add more memory, and run a
diagnostic test on your RAM as it can become faulty. Check
the cooling fans so as to rule out over heating. Then run
the maintenance, disk cleanup and the disk defragmenter
tools weekly. Scan for viruses also. Run the system file
checker tool, click start, run, type in; sfc /scannow with
that space after the sfc. Open the control panel, then
administrative tools, Event Viewer, to check for error and
warning messages. (Click to select either applications or
system on the left side, then double click on one of the
messages on the right side to see details.)
Go to www.pcpitstop.com for a system diagnostics check.
Try updating your video/display device driver in the
device manager after downloading the latest version from
your video card maker's web site, or your PC maker's site.
Check for any BIOS updates for the motherboard also.
Buy and install a good system utility program such as
Norton's Utilities or Ontrack FixIt Utilities, or System
Mechanic, http://www.iolo.com/sm/ These will also clean
out the system registry of most invalid entries. Or check
this site here; http://www.v-com.com/product/fi_ind.html
