Do you have a printer driver on the machine (i.e., not just on the
network)? See http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00034.htm for
specifics.

Done what is suggsted there ( most of it already done) but nope ! Problem
persists. Have still to try with new presentations ( to exclude file
specific problems) and on at work's PPT97.
I have a printer driver installed for my Deskjet, and others as well (
Pdf995, LaserJet, WinFax)
Any other ideas ?
Thanks ! Getting infos is always a pleasure, even if not immediately
resolutive !

Oh, I thought you were having the trouble with PPT 97 itself--I didn't
see that you're having problems with PPT XP. Sorry for not reading more
closely!

For PPT XP, I'd try changing hardware acceleration
(http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm for instructions) and, if
that doesn't work, updating video drivers.

Will try that.
Have already tried, without success :
- removing Winfax driver for Symantec WinFax
- safe mode Powerpoint launch
- delete ppt.pcb file
- clone presentation
- save under other name : no success !
All presentations that here freeze open totally normally at work in PPT97 /
Win98SE

Well have tried : nope !
Both suggestions didn't work !
Will probably have to go back to PPT97 !!!!!!!!!! Silly enough !

Well. Managed to get to work :
- uninstalled Office XP
- reinstalled Office Xp
- now works.

Have however not yet reinstalled SP1 & SP2.
Will try after backups.
Thanks for all your helps !

Wow, I'm impressed. That's one time a total uninstall/reinstall actually
fixed something!

Thanks for the followup, Pivert.
