FREEZE / Lockup solution - K8V may work on others. AUDIO related.

How I did it:
run dxdiag.exe (DirectX diagnostics)

goto the sound tab

move the "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" slider to the "No Acceleration" position.

No more lockups for me.
ASUS K8V motherboard w. onboard audio.

Nevermind, its back. LOMAC flight sim and something are reacting and locking up.
Back to the drawing board.
