Is there a freeware program that will capture a .ram stream as a .wav
file so that I can edit it to remove parts I am not interested in and
save the rest on CD? The .ram stream is a public radio program. When
I download the .ram file I get a 73 byte file named: r2030703.ram.
The .ram file contains these two lines:

pnm://wamu.toad.net/gateway.rm
pnm://wamu.toad.net/2003/dr/r2030703.rm

If there is no freeware program that will do this, is there an
inexpensive shareware program that will allow me to capture the whole
60 minutes of the program before I have to register it? Thank you in
advance for all replies.

Streambox VCR lets you capture the RAM, and streambox ripper lets you
convert it to a WAV or an MP3 file.

EDEB.

Tried it out:
It is 6.1 megabytes as a ra file.

EDEB.

I capture RealAudio streams all the time (including public radio feeds).
I just play the feed in realplayer, use CDEX's "Record from Analog Input" to
record the audio stream and mp3directcut to edit it.
