Aside from the miute-by-minute updates Babya used to post to this group,
just a small query. What was the general quality of the Babya programs? I
never actually tried any myself.

The Photoworkshop I looked at was crap. But that was ages ago, for all I
know it could be the next Phot$hop now.

Utterly, totally abysmal. Surprisingly often, they did actually do
what they were supposed to do, but in such a limited, useless way that
no sane person would ever dream of actually using them. His shell,
for instance, would actually work, to a limited degree - though not as
well and comprehensively as the "run" command.
I looked at his paint program, too. It had a very few capabilities,
much less than, for instance, Windows Paint, but Babya gilded the lily
by comparing it with PSP and PhotoFiltre!
Some didn't really work. There was a sort of file manager that could
have got you into quite a bit of trouble. And they were all hideously
ugly.
