Freeware Music synth..???

Can some knid person, point me in the direction of a freeware music
maker/synth program....Preferably, one where you can add computer generated
instruments, and a keyboard version if poss......Cheers for any help

Didn't mean 2 upset you 'E', just that by the time i get back to this group,
and after all, i've only had a comp for just over 2 months, i couldn't find
my last message or answers....and 2 confuse me even more, i've inadvertantly
deleted the only program that i could use my 'mic' with, which was the very
basic 'SNDREC32', do you wanna send me it ?? mate ??, i'm a bit like colonel

SNDREC32 is Windows Sound Recorder. Here's a creative example of how
Windows Sound Recorder can be used to create music:
