Any freeware like FinePrint?

Double-sided printing
Double sided printing cuts paper use in half and reduces travel
weight.

Print multiple pages onto a sheet
Print 2, 4 or 8 pages on a single sheet of paper.

Delete unwanted pages
Universal print preview with editing capability. Easily add blank
pages, delete pages, and re-sequence jobs.

I know this can be done in MS Word, but FinePrint is so much easier.

Not exactly as your demand(no editing, not sure about doblesiding),
but some features can be done indirectly by PDFCreator
( www.sourceforge.net ) as virtual printer driver.
It redirects printing to PDF file,
optionally more pages on sheet.

MSWord is applicable on MSW readable documents.
FPrint and PDFCr. are applicable on all prints.
For plain texts with limited ability there is
simple free TXTPrint ( somewhere ).
