What do you folks suggest as a IRC client? I have looked at some, but
it's hard to make my mind up. I am mainly going to use it as a method
of chatting with my brother. We have our own channel set up on
StarChat. I tried Visual, but it was so hard to set up, I gave up.

I'm partial to Visual IRC (vIRC)

But I also like/have used BersIRC

This is for the flowers, who have no appreciation for beauty;
And the sheer ugliness of it all will surely be lost on them.

While I think mIRC is the best IRC client, it should be noted that
it's *NOT* freeware. Therefore, one of the other clients listed would
probably be better suited to the OP's request.
