For a few months I've been using Linux (Mandrake) on a machine after
years of using Windows. I'm now looking to find equivalents to all my
favorite freeware, but for Linux.

Xnview, for example, is available in Linux as well as Windows flavors.

Anyone know of others? Could there be a Linux equivalents in the
Pricelessware list?

Comments, rotten tomatoes, etc., awaited.

Yes there are. Use *find* and search each PL page for Linux. *In theory*
all OS are noted in the program descriptions.

This page http://linuxshop.ru/linuxbegin/win-lin-soft-en/ was and is
still really useful to me. I must say I try nearly everything it lists,
just in case it is the ultimate e-mail client, browser etc.

I have been using linux almost exclusively for about
two years. I only miss the games, (sadly the ones I prefer do not have a
native version or do not work with transgaming winex), and two freeware
applications: the yankee clipper and keynote, but this one does work well
with wine.

Portia
