Hello all.

I am looking for a freeware program which will allow me to copy the
entire contents of my C: drive (including invisible files and boot
sector) to my D: drive so that I can boot from my D: drive. FYI, I am
running Windows 98SE.

Thanks!!

Have you or anyone tried PC Inspector CloneMaxx? I am curious as to
how well it works. The reason I am asking is that I tried XXCopy. I
used my secondary drive to keep the copy of my primary drive. The
XXCopy program copied my c drive onto my d but erased all my files
that I saved throughout the years, 460 of them. I was able to get them
back with the help of the Restoration program, I was lucky. I was
wondering if the same thing would happen again? XXCopy literaly copied
the files from my c drive. I thought it would make an image file, like
an iso of a cd. I am a little hesitant to try PC Inspector CloneMaxx.
I even looked for a forum but I can't find one. Sorry for the long
message I felt like writing.

go to this site; you have to register but its no big deal...

https://www.ics-iq.com

ICS is now offering two free DOS utilities you may download directly
from the home page of our web site!
IDMASSTER - Performs identification procedure in your local hard
drive, displaying all of the partition and bios parameters.
COPYMASSTER - Allows duplication of your hard drive to another slave
hard drive in your computer!

They have other downloads also....

Let us know what you think....

Minor problem with clone maax. Unless you speak German it's kinda hard to
use it! The Website has a choice of language but not, it would seem, the
downloaded program.
No good for me I'm afraid. Pity. It seemed like a good idea.

not correct
you could select the language after you had made a bootdisk for clone
maxx.
While booting from this bootdisk you could strat clone-maxx with
bootparameters for the language:
cmaxx -deor german
cmaxx -us for english
also in spain, fench, dutch and italian
