Hi

Im trying to sort out my mothers' computer. There so much crap on it at the
moment, and as i'm trying to find some space on the hard drive, sorting
through files manally, is annoying. Is there a program which will display
the size of all folders, and files, in GB, and display them. Ideally, it
needs to be able to display in size order

Jan Horn's FolderSize (http://www.sulaco.co.za/downloads.htm) is a great
little free-standing .EXE will do exactly what you want to do. Direct

Scanner (http://www.steffengerlach.de/freeware/index.html). I used it for
years, and I absolutely love it.

JDiskReport

Uses Java but dont let that put you off. Very Useful, simple installation,
and as fast anything else

Or course you need to get Java 1.4.x or 1.4.x installed first if you

TreeSize tells you where precious space has gone to. TreeSize can be
started from the context menu of a folder or drive and shows you the
size of this folder, including its subfolders. You can expand this
folder in Explorer-like style and you will see the size of every
subfolder. Scanning is done in a thread, so you can already see results
while TreeSize is working. The space, which is wasted by the file system
can be displayed and the results can be printed in a report. TreeSize is
Mailware for Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP.

I use and highly recommend i.Disk (http://www.memecode.com/idisk.php).
It's outstanding!

'Folder Size Explorer Extension adds a new column to the Details view in
Windows Explorer. The new column shows not only the size of files, but also
the size of folders. It keeps track of which folders you view, and scans
them in the background so you can see complete size of all files within the
folder. It's very useful for cleaning up your disk. Once you get used to
having that information available, a directory listing simply looks
incomplete without it!'
