Any freeware alternative for w2k windows explorer

In w2k when browsing through files, if you expand the window to show
size type and date as well as name, the damn thing puts up a picture
between the folders list and the details

This does not happen in w98, or wxp. Any way to get around it, or is
there any freeware file browser that has this !@$%^&*(( feature
supressed

That is called Web View. To disable it do:

Windows Explorer>>Tools>>Folder Options>>General>>Web View>>Use Windows
classic folders.

My pleasure. As much as people hate Windows, it offers an incredible amount
of customization. I am one of those that likes to push buttons and see what
happens.
