Where can I find a good Freeware DVD Player for windows?

ZoomPlayer used to have a free front end.

Don't know if it is still available though.

Media Player Classic

I believe you're still gonna have to get the Mpeg 2 codec somewhere
for WMP to play DVD or SVCD.......
It comes w/ players like WinDVD.....don't know if there is a free
Mpeg 2 codec ? May be one ?

Just to clarify my earlier post....Media Player Classic has it's own
decoder...but you'll be able to use ONLY MPC to play DVD's...which isn't a
bad thing..it works very well.
Fusion Soft also has it's own decoder....it's a good player......and you can
also use WMP..Real Player..Jet Audio...for example, as well...they'll use
that decoder.
Get 'em both.

Not with MPC, it has a built in MPEG2 and AC3 decoders.

Sounds great, Fran !
Especially if the built in decoders could be used w/ other multimedia
programs as well. If so, it would be worth the download just for the
decoders alone.. :)

Look up Media Player Classic. It's my favorite by far, and I think you'll
like it too.

from my experience, it ain't easy. I am trying to find something that
will okay with a 900mhz/192MB RAM Windows 2000 system.

VLC - Almost works. The audio lags the video badly on the system I'm
using. VLC works okay on higher end systems.

Media Player Classic - A joke. It won't work unless you've already got
something else that works.

Fusion - I have a cdrom and a dvd in the system. This kept wanting the
cdrom. Couldn't get it to work.

BTW: you have to be very careful here. A lot of so-called dvd player
freeware is loaded with adware/spyware.

If you're looking for "free"........
