I am looking for a DVD player. I have found and downloaded Fusionsoft
version 5 which runs great but all the buttons and help are in French. Is
there anyway to change this as my French is basic? Or is there another
player I should be looking at? I am running XP home.

As an aside, I have found it very difficult to find Fusionsoft. The main
download site does not seem to work so if anyone knows of a reliable
download site in English then that would be useful.

Thanks Neil

Personally, I use MPC <URL:http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli>
for playing DVDs. Works great, but you have to supply your own MPEG-2
decoder. If you have already played DVDs with Fusionsoft, then you
probably already have one. If not, one can be found at
<URL:http://www.elecard.com/download/>, or one can be swiped from a
commercial package by grabbing a trial version of a player. Just be
careful with what you uninstall, so you don't uninstall the codec and
start scratching your head when playback suddenly doesn't work anymore.
;)

As for Fusionsoft itself, a bit of googling tells me this may have been
a program that has, in lack of a better word, forgotten. The official
site, as you probably know, seems to be
<URL:http://www.chez.com/fusionsoft/>, and indicates the program will
be further developed in the future. I would not hold my breath, though.
Experience tells me that such forgotten software is rarely remembered.

New versions of MPC don't need MPEG2 decoder, they have u built-in DVD/MPEG2
decoder, you only need AC3 filter.
