I would like a small simple program. What I want to do I can do 90% of in
Word for Windows.

The things I can't do and want to are to select a block of text and place it
anywhere on a page (I believe the correct term is floating text, but I
really don't know) and to resize the block of text with the mouse, much like
in Corel Draw.

I don't need text flowing, color separations, etc., etc. as I'm not making
books, and I'm just printing it on a home printer.

Thanks.

I've seen this recommended before and I'm now interested. However, the
website seems to be referencing to Demo and Trial. Is it a case that it is
not freeware anymore? Or have I missed something?

An incredible program. I really like the ease of dropping an image into an
already sized graphic box and being able to subsequently delete and change the
image without affecting the position. Much easier than Pagemaker 7 in this
regards.

Many thanks Susan for the link. Downloading now.

YW. :) I'm grateful when someone posts about this kind of problem - I've
revised the PL pages to make it easier to find the "it's free" info.
