Can anyone recommend a good freeware CD label maker ? Google only turns up
expensive sharewares and free trials.
TIA

"Man-wai Chang" dispenses excellent advice like this:
just use your hand and a sign pen...

That works just fine for me but this is for a photo/video presentation to
give to relatives. It needs something a little more sophisticated. If anyone
has any ideas.
Thanks again.

Handwriting is a great gift, in my opinion. Anyway.. :)

There is this but it has limitations:

"UndercoverXP v1.11
http://www.undercoverxp.tk/

UndercoverXP is a free program to easily print CD and DVD covers. It
supports JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP formats and can automatically scale
front covers, back covers, front + inside, inlays, DVD Boxes, Digital
Pictures and CD/DVD labels to the correct sizes. Other formats can be
easily added via a graphical format editor. UnderCoverXP is written in
C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and doesn't need a .NET
framework or any other external libraries."
---------------------------------------------------------

Although UnderCoverXP doesn't support text CD label printing
(eg track listing front inside) there is a complicated workaround -
basically creating/saving the text in a text editor and then importing
it into something like Irfanview and saving it as a .jpg file. It can
then be printed in U/CXP. I've done this myself recently to solve the
problem and it does work.

"hummingbird" indicated this but it has limitations:
Thanks, Hummingbird, for your useful response. After working on the texts in
an image file, I was able to print out some neat labels with this software.

That's great. I've actually been doing some of this myself today!
The more I tinker with the text and image files, the better the
output gets...

All I really want is a freeware programme to print the circular labels to stick on the CDs. Being able to print a front square box insert cover would be a bonus. I am not interested in listing all the tracks etc. I suppose I could do this in Word?

Are there easy to use sheets of sticky backed paper i could print the rounds onto?
