I use IE and Mozilla (and Netscape 7.1 actually) and I want to be able
to use the same set of favorites/bookmarks between the two. I've
downloaded Jetlinks, which LOOKS very nice, but the links won't open in
Moz or netscape. (The browser opens, the selected link just doesn't).
Any suggestions on others? (I've done a trawl through CNet and all the
rest, but can't find exactly what I'm after - which is to use one file
for both)

Thanks

AM DeadLinks:
I've seen this some while ago when I was looking for something else -
will it let me keep all my favorites/bookmarks in one file and then
launch whichever browser I decide?

Ah. No. Sorry. It keeps the links for each browser separate, and then
pops up whichever browser the link is in.

URL Base from

http://www.terriadev.com/urlbase/

does what you want. You can store and manage your shortcuts, import
favourites lists from most browsers and launch them in whatever browser
you want.

What browser options are you using in Jetlinks?

FWIW I have Netscape 4.78 set as my default browser in Jetlinks. I have
no problem opening links in NS from the Jetlinks bookmark file (by
double-clicking OR by clicking on the NS icon) and I can open the same
bookmark in IE by clicking on the IE icon.

Be careful with this one if you don't like software adding tons to your
registry.

URLBase:

Added 202 Registry Keys
Added 284 Registry Values
Changed 50 Registry Values

For a piece of software that does nothing more than import and "manage"
URLs, that amount of registry trash is totally unacceptable.

I went ahead and test drove the thing anyway, expecting it to also offer to
redesign the space shuttle, but since it didn't, I uninstalled 15 minutes
after installing (most of that time was waiting for it to import my URLs
from IE....slowwww).

Pricelessware is your friend: http://pricelessware.org/

In the Internet section, click on URL Bookmarks - Favorites. The only
entry shown is CBM - Columbine Bookmark Merge. I highly recommend it.
Even though it's ancient, it is still more capable than any other I've
tried, whether freeware or shareware.

The url at pricelessware.org is not active. I did a search for v3.3 (which
is listed on Pricelessware.org) but couldn't find a download, but v2.9 is
available at simtel.net.

Anyone know of a site for v3.3?

Thanks, Mark

Tiger & Tramp,

Thanks for the URL's. After messing with it a bit I now have all my
bookmarks from Opera into Mozilla Firebird.

Thanks much,
Mark
