Hi
I am looking to convert BMP frames into a movie, either GIF animation or any
movie format that is loss-less compression. Thank you.

You can use Imageforge - http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_imffw.html - to
do an .avi using any of the compression codecs you have installed on
your system. It doesn't do .gif's, though.

If the frames had already been assembled in a strip, you can split the
image into .avi frames using File/Open as Animation. Otherwise, you
use File/New/Make Image an Animation, then add your other images using
the Merge icon on the toolbar.

There are probably other free programs which do much the same thing.

No help from me. Just wanted to say that I think it's odd that IrfanView
hasn't added animated GIF support. Nothing fancy; just combining frames
with the ability to specify frame duration.
